Breeders Course – Scotland, June 2010

 We attended a Breeders Couse hosted by Sandra Brownlie (Sandaharr) in June 2010. The course was presented by Willem Touw (Immer Moed Boerboels,The Netherlands) using the new EBBASA guidelines, we were then given the opportunity to appraise a Sandaharr dog. We also had our dog Boo appraised by Willem Touw.


 Pet Detect – Essex Sept 2010

The workshop offered one-to-one guidance by a qualified veterinary surgeon and an experienced tutor after undertaking and reaching a competent level I was deemed qualified to microchip our puppies. We believe this course is important as all puppies will leave our care microchipped so you as a new owner and us as breeders have ensured your puppy can be identified.

Boerboel International Breeders Course – Oxford, Sept 2010

This event was hosted by Boerboel International the informative event provided us with the opportunity to meet specialists in their field and acquire a deeper understanding about the boerboel breed; we can then utilise this information in our breeding programme.

Speakers included;

Fred Lanting USA; is a Worldwide canine behaviour & structure consultant who has judging experience in more than 24 countries. He has for many years trained dog judges and has been described as the worlds leading non veterinarian orthopaedic specialist.

Truels Vallø Bisgaard, Denmark; graduated from ethological Institute Høng, Denmark in 2002,where he studied under Dr Roger Abrantes, specializing in the teaching of horses and dogs, he has also attended various courses both at home and abroad. He is inspired by many coaches, but most all by the horses and dogs!

Hester Grobbelaar, South Africa; Is a Senior Judge for Boerboel International. She is also the breeder of Jura Boerboels. Her love for this breed has been proven time and again
