Well, we left sunny East Anglia on Friday 18th June 2010, for a weekend in Scotland to attend an EBBASA appraisal, hosted by Sandra Brownlie of Sandaharr Boerboel's. Initially we were attending to have Winnie appraised, but she came into her first season and after a long journey she would not have been at her best, so we elected to have Boo appraised and boy were we in for a shock! let me explain.

On Saturday 19th June 2010, we attended the Breeders Course, hosted by Sandra & Harry Brownlie of Sandaharr Boerboel's, and presented by Williem Touw of Immer Moed Boerboel's, many thanks to these guys.

The morning was informative and with our model, JJ ( Hagrid's mother) we discussed many issues around the breed standard. After a hearty lunch and a brief encounter with the puppies, we as a group set about appraising JJ with the knowledgeable eye of Williem. JJ handled the compliments very well!

Appraisal time for Boo; she could not wait to get into the ring, she greeted all spectators in her friendly manner. She proudly exhibited herself and scored 90.1, we were amazed as having completed the breeders course we had cast a too critical eye over our dogs.

Well my husband was so excited to see and photograph (141 pictures to be precise) Bronson, Marley and G Boy over this weekend event that he totally forgot to photograph Boo, thankfully Sandra was at hand with the camera so I have inserted a few photos for you the reader.

The final day arrives

Again another sunny day in Scotland, which was another day of meeting more new owners and well behaved dogs as well as, litter puppies reuniting with one another again. My respect to a mature couple whose Boerboel was so responsive and in tune with its owners, it was amazing to see – definitely no age barrier to owning a Boerboel!

So when we arrived home to Suffolk, after a busy yet informative weekend we decided to take the next step in our journey of owning Boerboel's and look at breeding our Boo and in time Winnie, health checks permitting. So what you see and read on our site is the creation of Bouduccia Boerboel's and the start of our breeding plan.
